Dropshopit for Beginners: How to Create a Shopify Store and Promote It on Social Media

Many people are starting to use Dropshipit to start their own business. If you're curious about how it works, then our guide is for you. We'll be walking you through all of the steps involved in creating a successful dropshipping store. From choosing your product, setting up your Shopify store with the chosen product, marketing and advertising on social media channels like Facebook and Instagram, we've got some great tips for success!

1. What is dropshipping?

- Dropshipping is a way to start your own ecommerce business with no upfront costs.

- You choose the product you want, but instead of buying it yourself - you have your supplier ship directly to customers on your behalf after they make an order.

- This means that there are zero barriers for getting started! All you need is a Shopify store and some social media presence to get up and running in minutes!

It's important not too much stock when you first begin so that the products don't take up all of this space before orders come in from social media channels like Facebook and Instagram! We'll discuss how exactly we promote our dropship stores later down below in section five: marketing and advertising. For now, let's get to setting up your Shopify store!

2. How to create a Shopify store

- Once you've chosen your product, all you need to do is create a Shopify store and add the products from your supplier.

- This part of the process takes some time depending on how many products you're adding and what system/software they use - but we'll walk through each step in detail below!

First off, let's connect with our dropship suppliers and get that information ready for later: head over to their website or email them directly if one isn't available. You should find out what kind of software they use so it makes importing easier (we usually ship with CSV files). A few providers include Oberlo by Shopify, which also integrates well into Facebook Ads Manager once imported. These are both great options for dropshipping and get the job done well!

Let's go ahead and log into Shopify: we're going to start by creating a new product. Once you've logged in, it should take you directly to your products page where everything is organized neatly for easy access - this will be our starting point. Now that we're here, click on "add a new product" from the top right corner of your screen: next up, give your item a name so customers know exactly what they'll receive when they order. Then add some images - these can either be uploaded through CSV files or taken straight from Facebook if you have an active Instagram account (we recommend taking photos with objects around you). You don't need too many since people will only be looking at this page when they're about to order: finally, choose which categories your product fits into and hit "save" once you've finished. Congratulations! You just created a Shopify store!

Now that we have our products set up on the back end, let's go ahead and connect with Facebook so social media channels can see what we sell - it's time for marketing and advertising!

Head over to Facebook Ads Manager in another tab or browser. If you don't already have an account then clicking here should take you directly there (you'll need a personal profile). Once inside, click on create ad from the blue menu bar along the top of the screen: next up, select either a website or a Facebook page that you own/administer. We recommend creating a Facebook page for your dropshipping store since it's free and easy to set up - just name the page after your brand!

3. Choosing a product for your dropshipping store

- Now that we've chosen a product, it's time to promote!

- Choosing the right products for your new Shopify store is important too - so here are some tips of what kind of items work well with dropshipping:

High demand Items on big ecommerce marketplaces High value items Small home goods Products you can get reviews or testimonials about before selling Prices between $20-$100 Cheap shipping costs (most providers include free delivery above this threshold) These types of products tend to get more orders and have higher profit margins which makes them ideal for dropshipping. As long as they're not too niche specific, you should be good to go! If in doubt though, just choose something that interests you since you'll be promoting it for the long term.

Now that we know what kind of products to pick, let's discuss where they come from. Dropshipping is one business model in ecommerce - meaning you sell items directly through your own Shopify store without stocks or warehouses (we call this "self-fulfilled" since these are fulfilled straight by your supplier when an order comes in). This means all you need to do is set up a website and promote! The end result? More sales with much less hassle compared to other online businesses like running Amazon FBA or eBay auctions: but there's still many factors at play here so don't get overconfident just yet...

Let's go ahead and log into Shopify again: now it's time for the fun part - picking the products!

- Head to your Shopify admin page again, but this time click on "Sales Channels". It should be under Sales in the left hand menu bar:

5. Marketing and advertising your new dropshipping business on social media channels, such as Facebook and Instagram

- This is where those social media accounts from earlier come in handy... We're going to use them as a platform to promote our new dropshipping business! In order to do so though you need some attractive images or videos of course - if they don't look professional then nobody will want what you got. Luckily there are plenty of ways to get around this, but the easiest is to use a web-based image creator like Canva.

- Head over to canva.com in another tab or browser and click on "start creating" down the bottom of the screen: next up you'll get access to their templates - there are thousands available so finding something relevant should be easy enough for your new Shopify store!

6. Tips and tricks for success in e-commerce with Dropshipit!

- Dropshipit is a service that makes it easier to run your dropshipping store - if you're using Shopify then this shouldn't be too hard, but there are still some things out of your control.

- One of the most important ones being how good Google search results for keywords related to what you're selling are. If they aren't high enough then nobody will find your site and thus won't buy anything! This means looking at the top 100 or so Google rankings, checking whether yours can beat them through better marketing on social media channels etc., and moving up until no more progress is made. It's all about SEO (search engine optimization) in other words...
